THE PROGRAM AIMS TO INCREASE ALIGNMENT AND ENHANCE COLLABORATION AMONG LOCAL RESETTLEMENT AGENCIES, PUBLIC SCHOOLS, ETHNIC AND COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS, AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TO SERVE 400 INDIVIDUALS ANNUALLY, VIA A WIDE RANGE OF COMMUNITY-BASED AND CLINICAL INTERVENTIONS. THIS PROJECT WILL RESULT IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SYSTEM OF CARE THAT MORE EFFECTIVELY RESPONDS TO THE COMPLEX NEEDS OF REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT YOUTH IMPACTED BY TRAUMA AND THEIR FAMILIES BY FOCUSING ON THREE (3) PRIMARY GOALS: 1) DEVELOPMENT OF A NETWORK OF CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNITY-LEVEL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES; 2) INCREASED IDENTIFICATION OF MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS AND ACCESS TO EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT YOUTH; AND 3) IMPROVED OVERALL MENTAL HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR REFUGEE AND IMMIGRANT YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES.
