THE CHAMBERSBURG YMCA IS A CHARITABLE, COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATION THAT INCLUDES MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF ALL AGES, ABILITIES, INCOMES, RACES AND RELIGIONS. WE ARE DEDICATED TO YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY BY PUTTING CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE HEALTHY LIFESTYLES, STRONG VALUES, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, AND COMMUNITY INTERACTION. THIS COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP IS UNITED BY A COMMON LOYALTY TO JESUS CHRIST FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING THE SPIRITUAL, MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND SOCIAL LIVES OF OUR YOUTH, OUR FAMILIES AND OUR COMMUNITY. YMCA PROGRAMS HELP DEVELOP SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-CONFIDENCE, AN APPRECIATION OF A HEALTHY MIND AND BODY AND A CAPACITY FOR LEADERSHIP, BUILD LASTING RELATIONSHIPS, AND INCREASE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT.
