DADE AMATEUR GOLF ASSOCIATION ADVANCES AMATEUR GOLF AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY. ACTIVITIES FURTHER THE SPORTS IDEALS AND COMPETITIVE CHARACTER; PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP AND FRIENDLY COMPETITION; AND ENCOURAGE THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING OF PARTICIPANTS. PROGRAMS PROVIDE EDUCATION IN THE RULES OF GOLF AND GOLFING ETIQUETTE TO JUNIORS, GOLFERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND THE PUBLIC; EXPAND UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROPER USE OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE GOLF FACILITIES; AND CONDUCT USGA-GOVERNED AMATEUR TOURNAMENTS, INCLUDING FLAGSHIP JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, THAT EMPHASIZE INTEGRITY, SPORTSMANSHIP, AND LIFE SKILLS. THE ORGANIZATIONS OFFICIAL MOTTO IS HELPING YOUTH THROUGH GOLF.
