ADDITIONALLY, THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO STRENGTHEN THE CO-CURRICULAR AND WORK-BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES OF STUDENTS TO FURTHER THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF CAREERS IN CYBERSECURITY. CCSO HAS PARTNERED WITH SECONDARY INSTITUTIONS, POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTIONS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, AND ASSOCIATIONS TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, SOURCES FOR RESEARCH, AND TO EXPAND EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS. THE GOAL OF THIS INITIATIVE IS TO ADVANCE CYBERSECURITY EDUCATION, WHICH WILL HELP SECURE FUNDING TO SUSTAIN PROGRAMMING. UNDER THIS PROJECT, CCSO WILL APPLY THE NICE FRAMEWORK TO GAIN A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE CYBERSECURITY WORKFORCE NEEDS OF LOCAL BUSINESSES AND NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS TO IMPROVE TEACHING OBJECTIVES AND FOR TRAINING PURPOSES.ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: THE PROPOSED PROJECT ACTIVITIES HIGHLIGHT INVOLVEMENT FROM K12 INSTITUTIONS, HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS, AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. OVER A 24-MONTH PERIOD, CCSO WILL COLLABORATE WITH THESE ENTITIES TO INCREASE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CYBERSECURITY, BUILD A CYBERSECURITY CURRICULUM, EVALUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS, AND IDENTIFY EMPLOYERS TO PROVIDE INTERNSHIPS AND JOB PLACEMENT FOR STUDENTS.
