THE PROJECT WILL ENGAGE COMMUNITY MEMBERS BY TRAINING AND HIRING THEM FOR THE AIR QUALITY MONITOR INSTALLATION, AIR QUALITY NETWORK MANAGEMENT, AND AIR HEALTH MONITORING. COMMUNITY MEMBERS WILL ALSO SERVE AS AIR QUALITY EDUCATORS AND ADVISORS. ACTIVITIES:THESE FUNDS WILL BE USED TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY AND LOCAL EFFORTS TO MONITOR THEIR OWN AIR QUALITY AND TO PROMOTE AIR QUALITY MONITORING PARTNERSHIPS BETWEEN COMMUNITIES AND TRIBAL, STATE, AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS THAT: LEVERAGE EXISTING AIR QUALITY EXPERTISE, EXPAND USE OF COMMUNITY MONITORING GROUPS AND OTHER APPROACHES THAT GIVE THE COMMUNITY A VOICE IN THE MONITORING OF THE AIR QUALITY, AND BUILD A FOUNDATION OF TRUSTING RELATIONSHIPS AND ENHANCED UNDERSTANDING FROM WHICH SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS TO COMMUNITY AIR POLLUTION PROBLEMS CAN BE FOUND. THE ACTIVITIES THAT THE APPLICANT WILL PERFORM INCLUDE COMMUNITY-LEAD AIR QUALITY MONITORING, ENGAGEMENT, AND OUTREACH. CLEAN WATER FUND WILL INSTALL 60 AIR QUALITY MONITORS, CREATE AN AIR QUALITY NETWORK MANAGEMENT, AIR QUALITY HEALTH MONITORING, PUBLIC MEETING ON THE PROJECT, AND RESULTS, IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMUNITY INFORMATION PROGRAMS, AND ASSESSMENTS AND EVALUATIONS OF THE PROJECT IN A YEARLY BASIS.
