WE WILL USE A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH TO IDENTIFY POPULATIONS AND COMMUNITIES WITH A HIGH BURDEN OF SV TO UNDERSTAND AND ADDRESS THE INEQUITIES THAT CREATE A DISPROPORTIONATE BURDEN OF SV. WISCONSIN CAPACITY TO ADVANCE SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION - THE RAPE PREVENTION AND EDUCATION (RPE): ASSESSING COALITION CAPACITY TO ADVANCE PRIMARY PREVENTION PROJECT IS ESSENTIAL TO PREVENTING SV IN WI. THROUGH THIS PROJECT, WCASA WILL ENHANCE AND STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITY OF THE COALITION IN PREPARATION FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SV PREVENTION STRATEGIES THAT FOCUS ON PRIMARY PREVENTION AND ADDRESS HEALTH INEQUITIES. THE PRIMARY FOCUS WILL BE TO CONDUCT A PRIMARY PREVENTION CAPACITY ASSESSMENT TO PLAN AND IMPLEMENT EQUITY-FOCUSED STRATEGIES, IN ORDER TO DEVELOP RECOMMENDATIONS BASED ON ASSESSMENT FINDINGS TO PROMOTE HEALTH EQUITY, AND ADVANCE PRIMARY PREVENTION IN FUTURE WORK. WE WILL USE A DATA-DRIVEN APPROACH TO IDENTIFY POPULATIONS AND COMMUNITIES WITH A HIGH BURDEN OF SV TO UNDERSTAND AND ADDRESS THE INEQUITIES THAT CREATE A DISPROPORTIONATE BURDEN OF SV. EFFORTS IN THIS PROJECT WILL INCLUDE MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT WITH THE STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT RPE PROGRAM, INCLUDING THE LOCAL PROJECTS CURRENTLY FUNDED FOR SV PREVENTION. PROJECT OUTCOMES INCLUDE: - INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY FOR THE PRIMARY PREVENTION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND HEALTH EQUITY WORK AT WCASA - INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF AVAILABLE FUNDING DEDICATED TO THE PRIMARY PREVENTION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND HEALTH EQUITY WORK IN WISCONSIN - INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF AVAILABLE DATA SOURCES TO SUPPORT PREVENTION PLANNING & IMPLEMENTATION – INCLUDING THOSE USED TO IDENTIFY POPULATIONS OF FOCUS - INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF CURRENT PARTNERSHIPS TO SUPPORT PRIMARY PREVENTION OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND HEALTH EQUITY WORK IN WISCONSIN - INCREASED UNDERSTANDING OF AVAILABLE CURRICULA FOR SEXUAL VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND HEALTH EQUITY WORK - INCREASED MEANINGFUL ENGAGEMENT WITH DHS TO BUILD AND SUPPORT A PREVENTION INFRASTRUCTURE IN WISCONSIN
