PURPOSE OF PROJECT: THE PROJECT INTENDS TO SUPPORT 130 ENROLLED VETERANS ANNUALLY ACROSS THE SERVICE COMMUNITY OF PHOENIX, ARIZONA SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE UNDER CATEGORY 1 (HVRP) AND WILL FOCUS ON SUPPORTING ALL VETERANS AND THE ABILITY TO SERVE WOMEN VETERANS, VETERANS WITH CHILDREN, AND VETERANS RETURNING FROM INCARCERATION.ACTIVITIES FUNDED BY GRANT: OUTREACH RECRUITMENT ENGAGEMENT OF ELIGIBLE VETERANS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS OR AT-RISK OF HOMELESSNESSINTENDED BENEFICIARIES OF THE PROJECT: THE PROJECT INTENDS TO SUPPORT 130 ENROLLED VETERANS ANNUALLY ACROSS THE SERVICE COMMUNITY OF PHOENIX, ARIZONA.OUTCOMES OF THE PROJECT: THE FOLLOWING PROVIDES OUR METHODOLOGY IN IDENTIFYING THE GOALS IDENTIFIED FOR COMMENT IN THE FOA IN SERVICE TO 120 ENROLLED VETERANS ACROSS THE SERVICE AREA.-AVERAGE HOURLY WAGE AT PLACEMENT AMVETS SET $22.14 AS THE AVERAGE HOURLY WAGE AT PLACEMENT GOAL FOR THE PROGRAM. -PLACEMENT RATE OVERALL AMVETS PROPOSES AN OVERALL PLACEMENT RATE (EMPLOYED EXITED) OF 70.3%. -COST PER PLACEMENT AMVETS ANTICIPATES THAT COST PER PLACEMENT WILL BE $8,466 IN YEAR 1.-PERCENTAGE OF ENROLLMENTS RECEIVING TRAINING SERVICES: FRIENDSHIP PLACE EXPECTS TO SERVE 65% OF ENROLLED VETERANS WITH TRAINING SERVICES. -PERCENT UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT AFTER EXIT (Q2) AMVETS PROPOSES A GOAL OF 45.8% FOR PARTICIPANTS IN UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT IN THE SECOND QUARTER AFTER EXIT FROM THE PROGRAM IN YEAR 1.-PERCENT UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT AFTER EXIT (Q4) AMVETS PROPOSES A GOAL OF 22.3% FOR PARTICIPANTS IN UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYMENT IN THE FOURTH QUARTER AFTER EXIT FROM THE PROGRAM. -MEDIAN QUARTERLY EARNINGS OF UNSUBSIDIZED AFTER EXIT (Q2) AMVETS PROPOSES MEDIAN QUARTERLY EARNINGS OF UNSUBSIDIZED EMPLOYEES IN Q2 AFTER EXIT AT $8,596. THIS INDICATOR ASSUMES THAT PLACED VETERANS ARE EARNING THE AVERAGE PER HOUR GOAL ($22.04) AT A MINIMUM OF 30-HOURS PER WEEK FOR 13-WEEKS.KEY PARTNERSHIPS: THERE ARE NO FORMALIZED AGREEMENTS OR PARTNERSHIPS IN PLACE, BUT AMVETS WORKS CLOSELY COLLABORATIVELY WITH MULTIPLE LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL ENTITIES. THESE INCLUDE EACH OF THE IDENTIFIED COC COMMUNITIES, LOCAL SSVF PROVIDERS, GRANT AND PER DIEM (US VETS, ACCESS HOUSING), VA MEDICAL CENTER, VA MEDICAL CENTER HOMELESS VETERANS COMMUNITY RESOURCE REFERRAL CENTER (CRRC), AND OTHER VETERAN SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS. THE PROJECT PARTNERS WITH THE AMERICAN JOB CENTERS ACROSS THE SERVICE AREA FOR CO-ENROLLMENT OF VETERANS SERVED BY HVRP. AMVETS IS CONNECTED WITH AN INTERNAL COLLECTIVE OF 25 FAITH ORGANIZATIONS AND A VAST PROVIDER NETWORK OF MORE THAN 90 COMMUNITY-BASED AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO END HOMELESSNESS, ADDRESS POVERTY, HEALTH, BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, LEGAL, AND OTHER BASIC NEEDS ITEMS FOR THOSE IN NEED. SUBRECIPIENT ACTIVITIES: N A RECIPIENT OF OTHER FUNDING: AMVETS DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY ADDITIONAL DOL OR DOL VETS FUNDING. AMVETS DOES RECEIVE FUNDING FROM THE US DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS FOR THE DELIVERY OF SERVICES UNDER THE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR VETERAN FAMILIES (SSVF). AMVETS ALSO RECEIVES HUD FUNDS THROUGH THE COC COMPETITION TO SERVE SINGLES IN PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING AND YOUTH THROUGH TRANSITIONAL AND RAPID REHOUSING. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES VARIOUS GRANTS AND FUNDING RESOURCES FROM TRUSTS AND FOUNDATIONS TO SERVE OTHER UNIQUE NEEDS AND TO FILL GAPS NOT SUPPORTED BY GOVERNMENT FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES. AMVETS RAISES OVER $2.8 MILLION IN PRIVATE FUNDING EACH YEAR AND MORE THAN $250,000 OF IN-KIND GOODS AND SERVICES TO MEE THE NEEDS OF THE MORE THAN 4,900 INDIVIDUALS SERVED EACH YEAR.

VETERANS CAN ALSO RECEIVE REFERRALS TO OTHER ASSISTANCE SUCH AS HEALTH CARE, HOUSING SOLUTIONS, EMPLOYMENT, SUBSTANCE USE TREATMENT AND MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING. THEY ARE COLLABORATIVE EVENTS, COORDINATED BETWEEN LOCAL VA MEDICAL CENTERS, THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR (DOL), OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND COMMUNITY-BASED HOMELESS SERVICE PROVIDERS.
