THE MISSION IS TO ORGANIZE AND UNIFY LEADERS IN THE WESTWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD TO IMPLEMENT THE STRATEGIC INITIATIVES THAT RESIDENTS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS IDENITFY AS THE MOST IMPORTANT TO IMPROVING OVERALL COMMUNITY HEALTH, WELL-BEING, AND INFRASTRUCTURE. WESTWOOD UNIDOS (WU) SERVES CURRENT WESTWOOD RESIDENTS ALONG WITH FORMER RESIDENTS WITH STRONG TIES TO THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING LOCAL BUSINESSES AND FAITH-BASED ORGANIZATIONS. WU PROGRAMS PROVIDE RESIDENTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, IMPROVING PUBLIC SAFETY, LEARNING/EDUCATION, PHYSICAL FITNESS, NEIGHBORHOOD INFRASTRUCTURE AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. WU INSTILLS RESIDENTS WITH A SENSE OF UNIFICATION AND KINSHIP TO THEIR COMMUNITY AND TO EACH OTHER.
