DEVELOPING AND IMPROVING METHODS TO SUPPORT STUDENTS WHEN THEY FIRST ENTER THE PROGRAM, SO THEY REMAIN IN THE PROGRAM. GETTING STUDENTS ENGAGED EARLY WITH THE NSE, SPECIFICALLY WITH SRNL THROUGH SITE VISITS, HANDS-ON LEARNING, AND A SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM AFTER THEIR SECOND SEMESTER IN THE NUCLEAR ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM.
